Marlin

Beautiful Marlin on release

The last week of January anglers were continuously put on Marlin, Pacific Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado Amberjack, big Snapper’s throughout the week. Arriving first we had Aaron Sroka, retuning anglers Ken & Bonnie Faust, Jim & Chris Bohasack and Tim and his lovely wife Lesley Boughtwood to close out the month.

Conditions

Water temperature was on the cooler side than normal but the blue water still remained in effect offshore. With the small rain fall we had it did change a little the inshore fishing due to the run off of the rivers. Overall seas at 2-4 feet with the North/Northeastern wind coming across on us.

Marlin & Pacific Sailfish Season

For future anglers looking to target billfish this has been the continuing trend during

the month of January. These pelagic’s take over the Triangle area in the Gulf of Chiriqui and provides lot’s of billfish action during the course of the day. Nothing has change as of the last report, the billfish continue to be active and our anglers were all eagered to hook into them.

Multiple Species

The multiple species action also continued through-out the month as the Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, and Amberjack stayed around long enough to provide the mix bag action. The Yellowfin Tuna bite slowed down a bit but then again it’s really early for them to arrive but will take what we can get. In total our January anglers hooked up to 27 different species which also included Mullet Snapper, Yellow Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Barred Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Barracuda, Rainbow Runner, Tripletail, Roosterfish, Bluefin Trevally, Golden Trevally, Jack Crevalle, Black Snook, Long-

Our Thanks

We once again would like to thank these anglers and all that have fished with us during the month of January 2015. We do realize you have a choice in charter fishing companies and greatly appreciate your business. We look forward to hopefully seen you back in 2016 at Come Fish Panama chasing more billfish if not the Yellowfin Tuna we spoke about during the months of April/May.
