This week Come Fish Panama welcomed Diego and Olaf from Belgium, returning anglers Nitzia and Junior from Panama City and Mike and Ray from Calgary, Canada. Despite a rather slow bite offshore our anglers managed to land Mullet Snapper, Dorado, Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Roosterfish, Wahoo, Pacific Needlefish and Cubera Snapper while enjoying the spectacular presence of Humpback Whales.
The water clarity continues to remain a clear blue with water temperature on the cooler side. A small chop during the mornings tapers off as the day progresses. Amazingly, the rain has not been an issue but the dark cloud cover does provide a nice relief from the Tropical sun.
Offshore Wahoo Bite and more..
Offshore bite was slow this week but we managed to bend a few rods with most of them. Mike and Ray had the most action hooking up with many species. Nitzia hooked up with a nice
Wahoo out at Isla Ladrones during the morning hours, but our day was cut short when her husband Junior became ill. Olaf and Diego encountered a tough day of fishing with very uncooperative fish. Overall I would not consider this week offshore a good week but that is to be expected once in a while.
We would like to thank all of our anglers that came out to fish with us. We greatly appreciate their business but feel bad that the fish did not provide much action for them. Hopefully things will turn around in the days and weeks ahead.
